A Question to my friend, who is not Charlie!

I definitively see your points and understand the simple fact that you dont like to hear that someone draw or printed a caricature that offend someone or offended you, but do you realize that  most if not all who are making this noises, none have even bothered to look to the drawing, how did you get offended from something you have not seen, only because they told you?!!!!

Well, let me tell you something first, I know that you are a moderate and tolerant friend, but I think and I admit I might be wrong, that you are under the wrong impression that fanatic will change only by changing the religious speech.
In my opinion that is absolutely not true.

In fact, if it was in my hand, I will never forbid anyone to say what he like or believe as long as he does not illegally offend a person, not because he offend an idea or a believe.

Change in your part of the world will happen only by allowing and protecting people freedom and use the law  and only the law to protect the person who felt offended.

Whether u agree or not on Charlie and clearly most of us dont, the only guarantee of your freedom to have this right of ''agree or disagree''  is not by condemning a caricature is by making sure any speech, any idea, any caricature TV... radio are free as long as they dont illegally offend a person.

If you dont do so, could you kindly explain to me how we are allowed to print our bible, I know for sure it does offend many other religions when we say,  Christ is the son of God.
May be we should stop printing the bible or adjust our believes!!!!!!!!

When you read in Quran that Christ was not crucified, does not this offend many Christians?
What to do, bomb the printing house?

I am sorry, I am not Charlie because I support this non sense caricature, I am Charlie because I support every human right to express his opinion, independently if his opinion is convenient for me or not  "je ne suis pas la violence et  je suis seulement toute et chaque opinion"

It takes two for an ugly Tango...Insanity with stupidity hands in hand!

Why expect any change , improvement or even any difference, this is totally insane.

INSANITY is to ''keep doing the same thing over and over again and expect different results!''

Pakistan was founded as an absolute secular country, one just need to remember the founder of Pakistan Mr. Jinnah's words: You are free; you are free to go to your temples, you are free to go to your mosques or to any other place or worship in this state of Pakistan. You may belong to any religion or caste or creed that has nothing to do with the business of the state.
August 11, 1947 –chairing the constituent assembly.

Than the United States came with the genius idea of fighting communism through the Islamization of Pakistan and supporting fanatic Muslims to the power against a social secular regime... The Reagan administration declared Zia Ul Haq as the "front line" ally of the United States in the fight against the Communism.

General Zia-ul-Haq :
The basis of Pakistan was Islam. Pakistanis have been made to believe that one can earn without working.... I am just giving the people [of Pakistan] what they want.

Not much could be said on the Pakistan today!

The same recipe were imposed or advised to Egypt in the 70's  through President Sadat:
Fighting the Socialism of  his predecessor Nasser with the same weapon, fanatic Muslims.

Years later, same genius idea of arming and financing AL Qaeda in Afghanistan to fight the Soviet.

USA with there alliance, Saudi, Egypt and other Arab states organized huge campaign to send Mujaheddin from all over the Arab world armed and trained by the USA to fight the Soviet union like if there is no tomorrow...

Unfortunately, history does not stop and THERE IS ALWAYS tomorrow, there is always the next day and whether it is Sadat assassination by people he financed  or General Zia Ul Haq plane crash accident with investigation concluding that the probable cause of the crash was a criminal act  and suggesting that poisonous gases were released to incapacitate crew, which explain why no Mayday signal was given and no black box was located after the crash!

But to blame the USA for everything, though I would love too, it would be against logic, you could finance fanaticism, you could use terror, you could arm terrorist but to create them you dont need just insanity, you also need stupidity!

Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.
''Martin Luther King Jr''

Can someone imagine that in Egyptian schools in 2014, some sixteen years old student are taught in official governments published books that according to some conservative Islamic opinion, cooking and eating human flesh is HALAL as long as ''the cooked'' was infidel or not praying!!!

A countries that children learn that in schools and Sheikhs are competing one other who can be more fanatic and to get himself the media as more respectable religious figure to extent that some of them forbid woman to buy cucumber or carrots without her husband presence in fear of temptation! what to say?!

Not too long ago one biggest Salafi sheikh ''Al Howeini Abu Ishak''  in his famous religious lesson, explained that the main reason of  Egypt's economic difficulties: we stopped going to war to fight infidel... returning with slaves to sell and woman to sexually use for pleasure and satisfy God by spreading Islam!
And I am not talking about any sheikh, Mr. Al Howeini is one of the most respected figures between Salafist and with sure tenth of millions of followers in the Muslim world.

No doubts, many USA congressman share somehow same view and would love to solve economic problem through war but the difference is I doubt that American population support this view, while it seem that too many Arabs agree with Mr. Howeini.

All this happen in a time that the biggest Egyptian Muslim authority ''Dar el Efta'' just declared that chat between man and woman on the net is a sin.

Now you can see the circle, moderate sheikhs make sure to create a society with woman as taboo, with woman considered inferior and just an object of pleasure, other most spread the hate against the infidel, Europe and the west in general and all sheikh fight any kind of family planing to solve exploding demographic problem, just to complicate the economic situation and finally extremist sheikh promoting the owning sex slaves and virgin in paradise for the one ready!
Which explain why Jihad in Bosnia or Syria attract much more young people than Jihad in Somalia!

If your mind start wondering how correct is this analysis, just think of the few millions remaining Christians living in the ME, living same economic difficulties, same desperate hard time add to that being oppressed, harassed for there believes to extent that yesterday as example, 27 Christians were arrested for making a house as a church and praying there on Sunday discretely!
Still, how many of Middle Eastern Christian blow himself?

This cant continue forever, it is too stupid, teaching kids to eat infidel, grow them up on hate, give them absolutely no hope for a better life and economic prosperity, deprive them from any normal social life, raise them as sexually deprived hunger creation and preach them to go and fight infidel, if they win they can use their woman for pleasure, if they die God have virgin aligned in hundreds for them to use.... and if stupidity is not enough, here come insanity financing and arming them to fight a battle against your today enemy whether is the Soviet, Assad, Qaddafi, Saddam Hussein or China because while thinking you are wining a battle, you are clearly beyond doubts losing the war.

Greek crisis, a view from the Imitos mountain and not debt's mountain!

Two photos taken from same spot, just literally, few meters away, but most important, instead of looking down, just a step back and with an extended view, little more up and to the horizon...

At the end of the day, our life on earth planet, is just as long as few words in a history book and this economic crisis is just ''un nuage d'ete, bien que colossale, ce n'est qu'un nuage''!!! a summer cloud, it will pass and the beautiful Greek summer will be back, unfortunately, many lives were hurt badly but better days will come and God be with us till it is over.

Happy Easter everyone.

Sleep well

It is amazing that we seem to never give enough attention to an important part of our lives.

In fact, many times when I think how did I get through hard time of my life and all difficulties and trouble that I have been through, I realize that big part of my happiness is thanks to a good nights sleep.

Yes, sleeping! In fact, on average and sure for me, sleeping is 1/3 of our life, amazingly we spend at least a third of our life in bed  and it is sad to think that some due to life pressure they see this third as lets rest a little to continue, continue in what? waste the pleasant third of life to quickly go into the less pleasant time!
Well, I see it, we should get finish with the 2 third to finally go enjoy the pleasant third in bed!
Others with worries, thoughts, or the unfortunate with health issues that can less enjoy a good night sleep with often a bonus of a sweet dream.

Personally, I care much less on the comfort of the pillow or the mattress. Do not misunderstand me, I do not argue there importance and for sure dont mind there comfort, but in reality all it matter for me is peace of mind, this is what is really needed for a good sleep.

I enjoy sleep in train, bus, car, aircraft, at airport, in front of a boring football or best friend once told me, the only way to keep me awake while using a mean of transport is while ridding a bike!

One of my best sleep, was with a colleague after a long travel to an exhibition, a long day walking around and lot of talk finally come to an end, we both being really exhausted but he seems to be indefatigable, so when I thought it is time to go for rest, he proposed we enter a seminar at the exhibition conference hall.

Being polite and not wanting to make him read my mind, I did agree, though neither I found the subject interesting nor I had the mind to follow.
Life of course punished him and conference was in French and as he was not a Francophone I almost fell on the floor laughing in my mind.

Well, we were really very lucky that we did not get shoot or expelled, we both felt in deep sleep and I sure can claim it was one of the most pleasant sleep, wish I do more of seminar sleeping!

All in all, do good to people, try to never hurt anyone, forget, forgive and always have positive thought it is a guaranteed ticket for a good night sleep, ticket for spending one third of your life happy and probably far better than many whom you think that they do have what you always wanted, you beat them in this third, hell you even beat Bill Gate and Warren Buffet!

If you have not yet fell asleep from my boring words, I guess it is time for me for a good bed time, see you soon.

The Souvlaki economy

Before 2008, top investment  in Greece were: Construction, garments, real estate and night life.
Now 90% of 2012  new business are Coffeeshop and Souvlakia!

Simple, the cost of manufacturing in Greece is still higher than most countries in EU not because salaries are higher but Taxes are beyond meaning, in a small business you could more easily bend the law but when you want real investor, manufacturing and business and they try to follow the law, the cost of manpower go beyond sense of investing ''apart of the fact that this is impossible in all case to keep the pace, as laws are non stop changing''

A worker paid 800 Euro in Greece, cost employer 1400 while in Germany  would cost 1200 add to that the higher cost of electricity, Natural Gas, energy, communication, you got a business model that is not viable in an environment were the law and taxes keep changing by the hour, a guarantee formula of failure for whatever effort made by any government.

Lesson in economy from Lala land! ''lefta den iparxoun''!

As we keep hearing this days terms used by economist to describe the current crisis we are living in Greece, I thought in this post to approach one the most famous terms used often that sound very confusing and try to make and in depth analysis why in my opinion it might not work in Greece.

what is in my mind? this question!

It seems every religion agree that the world was created to be variable, every human know that life has different colours every philosophy appreciate the difference in people...Just wonder, why some cant enjoy this variety of colours and shapes and instead they will make it there life mission to change it to a boring single colour thinking it is there ticket to heaven? If God wanted the world in one colour, would he need them to do it for him?

Low cost Electricity from rivers.

A new research conducted by Stanford University team offers perfect potential solution for energy problem in Egypt.

''Anywhere freshwater enters the sea, such as river mouths or estuaries, could be potential sites for a power plant using such a battery'' said Yi Cui, associate professor of materials science and engineering, who led the research team.

Can we hope monkey revolts and get up the ladder!

This time, I cant take the credit of this beautiful story, it was sent to me by email by a friend and it is so meaningful that I decided to make exception and add it to my blog and share it with everyone.
I wish I could give the credit to the unknown person who wrote it.

This story is about an experiment which a group of scientist conducted in order to study the behavior of monkeys in terms of team play.  The setup of the experiment was quite simple.  There where five monkeys kept in a cage, with a ladder kept in the middle of the cage.  A bunch of bananas was kept on top of the ladder!

Why Egypt is not Turkey?

What Goes For The Goose Dont ''NECESSARLY'' Goes For The Gees!

Egypt is not Turkey and the Obama-Ordogan model for supporting the MB in Egypt, if it work, might end up with another Iran instead of another Turkey!

Chewing khat!

Extract from The Time:
By 4 in the afternoon, most men walking the streets of Sana'a are high, or about to get high — not on any sort of manufactured narcotics, but on khat, a shrub whose young leaves contain a compound with effects similar to those of amphetamines. Khat is popular in many countries of the Arabian peninsula and the Horn of Africa, but in Yemen it's a full-blown national addiction. As much as 90% of men and 1 in 4 women in Yemen are estimated to chew the leaves, storing a wad in one cheek as the khat slowly breaks down into the saliva and enters the bloodstream. The newcomer to Yemen's ancient capital can't miss the spectacle of almost an entire adult population presenting cheeks bulging with cud, leaving behind green confetti of discarded leaves and branches.

Getting into USA!

A few pleasant days in Mexico with R, a colleague and friend for many years, attending an Exhibition.

An amazing experience compared to the Frankfurt version, the show only starts at 14:00 and lasts for a few hours, against the long hours of Frankfurt.

The exhibition went so quickly between the few meetings we had and watching all this dancing on every stand. It is just amazing to see people sitting discussing business and suddenly a stand starts a nice music and you get everyone on their feet dancing for few minutes. The same chap shouting and negotiating prices is simply transformed...beautiful exico.

A pleasant adios night out dining right after the show in a beautiful Mexican restaurant with local music and dance invited by a friend G. More Tequila and he became very emotional:

-Charles, you are my brother! ................No...............more, you are not any more Charles and I am G, you are G and I am Charles!
And as to prove his point, he took out his exhibition badge that we still had on our lapels, put it on me, and took mine for himself... He became Charles and I am G.
